airBaltic summer timetable: more flights, more destinations

Latvian national airline airBaltic introduced its summer timetable on 26th March. The new timetable, which is valid until 28th October, features nine new direct destinations, together with other changes. This summer airBaltic will operate 30 direct routes from Riga and 14 from Vilnius.

Major changes in the summer timetable from Riga are connected with the opening of airBaltic's new destinations. On 26th March the airline opened flights to Warsaw, to be operated six times per week, and Bergen, three times weekly. Flights to Simferopol will open on 11th April and will depart twice weekly. Flights to Tbilisi will start on 2nd May, and flights to Baku will open on 3rd May; both will depart twice per week. airBaltic flights from Riga to Liepaja will re-open this May and will operate four times per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Flight frequencies will also be increased on a number of routes from Riga. This summer, airBaltic will increase the number of flights to Helsinki and Tallinn from twice every weekday to three times every weekday. Flights to Moscow, Minsk and Kiev will be increased to six per week (daily except Saturdays). Flights to St.Peterburg will depart every weekday, and flights to Odessa will be increased to four per week. Flights to Hamburg and Berlin will depart daily. This summer airBaltic will also increase the number of direct flights from Riga to Oslo from nine to eleven flights weekly. Flights to London will be operated to Gatwick airport instead of Heathrow airport.

26th March also saw the introduction of airBaltic's new summer timetable for flights from Vilnius. On that date, flights to Stockholm opened and will depart six times weekly. Flights to Budapest will start on 28th March and depart twice weekly. In June, airBaltic will open daily direct flights from Vilnius to Warsaw. On 1st June, the airline will open direct flights to Düsseldorf, to depart three times per week.

This summer airBaltic will add one more Boeing 737-500 to its fleet for use on flights from Vilnius.
