Wizz Air opens Malmö/Copenhagen from Kaunas

Wizz Air, the largest low fare - low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today that it would start new flights from Kaunas to Malmö/Copenhagen on 27 March 2006. This flight will be complementing the current Kaunas-Warsaw flight further strengthening Wizz Air's positions in Lithuania.
This new route will be Wizz Air's 7th route to Scandinavia and 3rd route to Malmö/Copenhagen. Kaunas-Malmö/Copenhagen flights will commence on 26 March 2006, 3 times a week initially. Tickets for the flights are already on sale. Regular one way fares start from as low as EUR 32.99 / SEK 383 including taxes and charges. As an introductory offer a limited number of seats are available at a promotional fare of EUR 28.99 / SEK 343 till 31 January 2006.
József Váradi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air said: "Being a market leader with close to 2 million passengers in 2005 also means making commitment to the people of Central and Eastern Europe. And this commitment is to offer more low fares on more new routes. We have recently announced new summer flights from our home bases in Poland and Hungary as well as our latest achievement: Zagreb-London flight that will open on 27 March as well.
Kaunas-Malmö/Copenhagen is our second route from Lithuania and seventh route from Scandinavia. In 2005 we have carried 160000 passengers on our Scandinavian flights. We are looking forward to further strengthening our position on these markets and carry more satisfied passengers."
