04.01.2006
transavia.com started selling tickets to four new destinations in the summer of 2006. From March 26 the airline will fly from Amsterdam Schiphol to Glasgow Prestwick Airport six times a week, and from Rotterdam Airport to Toulon five times a week. From March 27 the airline will fly from Schiphol to Valencia five times a week, and from April 13 there will be flights from Schiphol to Pau in the Pyrenees four times a week.
Glasgow is an attractive destination not only for business travellers but also for tourists. It is a lively city brimming with history, culture and sights worth seeing. Glasgow is also the gateway to the fascinating Scottish hinterland, with its magnificent nature and endless possibilities for recreation. Those who fly to Glasgow with transavia.com can also travel throughout the whole of Scotland from the train station at the airport free of charge. Needless to say, Amsterdam is an equally popular destination for those who wish to fly from this region. Fares start at ? 19.99 one way.
Valencia is a very popular destination not only because of the city itself but also because of its favourable location in relation to much of the Costa Blanca. This is great news for the many people who have second homes in the surrounding area - up until now they have had to fly to Alicante. The frequency of the flights also opens up possibilities for business travel to and from Valencia, the third largest city in Spain. Fares to Valencia start at ? 39.99 one way.
The city of Pau in the French Pyrenees is a very attractive destination all year round. The beach and the mountains are both within reach and the region is a firm favourite with those who appreciate fine food and drink. The new destination will also prove very convenient for the many people who have second homes in the surrounding area, especially since the other airports are a long way away. Fares to Pau start at ? 29.99 one way.
Toulon - one of the focal points for tourism in the Côte d'Azur - is an important addition to transavia.com's scheduled flights to the south of France. Fares to Toulon start at ? 29.99 one way. Travelling time from Toulon to St. Tropez is approximately 30 minutes. Toulon-Hyères Airport is also a well-connected gateway to Provence, which is extremely popular all year round with holidaymakers and people who have second homes in the region.
There will be flights from Rotterdam to Toulon and back on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. During the high season there will also be a flight on Tuesday. There will be flights between Amsterdam and Glasgow Prestwick every day except Saturday. Flights from Amsterdam to Pau and back will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and there will be flights from Amsterdam to Valencia and back from Monday to Friday.
