"2005 was a remarkable year for us. In our second year in operation we
performed an immense three fold growth and market expansion, entered into a
purchase agreement to buy up to 24 new Airbus A320 family aircraft for our
future growth and achieved the lowest cost base of all airlines in CEE to
become highly competitive and financially sound." - said József Váradi, Chief
Executive Officer of Wizz Air. "Wizz Air will continue to grow its business on
its existing markets and will expand operations into new countries in Central
and Eastern Europe in 2006. The airline is well on track to hit the 3 million
passenger mark this year and to become the single biggest airline in the region
within 2 years, likely the only CEE based low cost airline at that time." -
Váradi added.
