SkyEurope inaugurates new routes to Sofia and Bucharest

SkyEurope Airlines, Central Europe's first low cost, low fare airline, celebrates today the launch of its new direct service between Bratislava and Romania's capital Bucharest.
At 9.12.2005 the new route to Sofia was inaugurated. The first flight to the Bulgarian capital departed at 14.30 from Bratislava and arrived on-time to Sofia International Airport.
The two new direct services from Bratislava are reinforcing SkyEurope's leading position as the largest low cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe. SkyEurope offers this winter flights to 17 destinations from Bratislava.
With prices starting at 25 ?, one way excluding taxes, SkyEurope offers just in time before Christmas, the first low fare connections to the capital cities of Bulgaria and Romania, that will enable many people to visit inexpensively their families and relatives.
Christian Mandl, SkyEurope's CEO said: "With our new direct services to Bucharest and Sofia, SkyEurope adds two new major Central European destinations to its network. As Bulgaria and Romania will soon join the EU, these connections are of great importance both for business and leisure travel and will contribute to the upturn of the economies of these new EU member states".
Flights to Bucharest and Sofia are open for sale also for summer 2006. Next to Sofia, SkyEurope will add with Bourgas its second Bulgarian destination out of Bratislava to its network, providing a direct service to the summer hot spot of the Black Sea.
